Dr. Frankel is an economic theorist with primary interests in macroeconomics and finance. His research areas include stock market crashes, crises, business cycles, bailouts, banks, and securitization. His research has appeared in leading economics journals such as Econometrica, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economic Studies, and the Journal of Economic Theory.
Dr. Frankel is a Professor at Melbourne Business School and has taught at Cornell, Stanford, Tel Aviv University, and Iowa State University. He received his Ph.D. at M.I.T., his M.Sc. at Oxford where he was a Marshall Scholar, and his A.B. at Harvard.
